Calling all crafty gals, craftistas and craftniks… Designed to inspire friends to gather around a table, break out the projects and create with abandon, Wild with a Glue Gun is a new kind of craft book. It offers an array of funky craft projects and shows how you can create a craft club or host gatherings that foster an atmosphere of creative sharing. The book introduces many voices—various members of several craft groups—each offering favorite projects in a friendly, chatty style. Includes 65 projects all designed to be completed over the course of an afternoon or evening's gathering.
About the authors
Kitty Harmon, principal of Tributary Books, started a craft group with friends called Women Who Run with Glue Guns. Christine Stickler, designer of several successful programs that promote creativity in young people, convenes with Women Who Do Things with Their Hands. They and the members of their respective craft groups live and create in Seattle.
From the Introduction
"The beauty of being part of a craft club is that you will make time in your life, on a regular basis, for making things. It will spur you to get those unfinished projects out of the drawer. Your friends will admire what you're doing and you'll want to do more. It seems that the more creative you are, the more creative you'll want to be. Our book will encourage you down that path."

“When is the last time you saw a craft book with 65 quick, stylish projects in it? But there's even more than that to this book. It's about friendship, community and inspiration. In addition to the two authors, you'll hear from members of several craft groups and see the fun things they get into with each other. Call up your girlfriends, plug in your glue gun, and enjoy!”
—HGTV.com
“Lots of fun ideas, resources and inspiration, drawing from the energies of creative women worldwide.”
—New Jersey Star-Ledger
“Rather than relying on the voice of a single writer, Wild with a Glue Gun introduces many voices—various members of several craft groups—each offering their favorite projects and addressing readers in a friendly, casual, yet distinct style.”
—Amazon.com
“The whole concept is about forming/joining a local craft group to inspire each other. The presentation is so friendly, you'll feel like going to the authors’ front door and offering them a bowl of homemade Ambrosia Salad and then asking if you can join THEIR craft group!”
